The Asian aviation industry is growing tremendously and here in Lao PDR, there is no exception. Lao PDR experienced an increased in a number of foreign airlines submitting its Air Operator Certificate for validation to operate regular scheduled flights into Vientiane (VTE) and Luang Prabang (LPQ). However, before a foreign airline is allowed to operate any scheduled flights into Lao PDR, a pre-assessment request to the Flight Standards Division (FSD) and Air Transport Division  (ATD) of Department of Civil Aviation Lao PDR (DCAL) is required for review.
